When I worked in corporate I remember thinking many times "Oh, of course he can put so much more effort into his job to get that higher position! He has a wife at home taking care of the house and kids!" and other similar ideas, complaining that I couldn't be as successful because I didn't have the support that many men had in my work environment. (This was a very unempowered time for me, as you can see. 😅) I now understand that is just the way life is. Some of us have more advantages, some of us have less advantages, but we are ALL able to achieve success. For this to happen, we must first accept where we stand and then decide to continue walking our own path to success.
